Collecting data on 12 more boys with NLD diagnoses who are aged 10-14.  Each boy receives $20 for their participation and we are usually able to complete everything within two hours.  Parents are asked to fill out a communication check list which takes about 10 minutes.  For each boy I also ask to see a diagnostic evaluation from which I gather a small amount of test data (Discrepancy information etc.).

I am excited about the prospects for this type of research and have been in contact with Dorothy Bishop a researcher at Oxford University who is  also beginning to analyze gesture and other non verbal aspects of  communication in children with pragmatic language difficulties
