Roast Beef

I recently found out that my 6 year old son has NLD. I had started to notice that in conversations he was often "off topic" so I have started asking him about his responses. One day I had to work so I gave my husband explicit instructions on how to cook a roast beef. Wondering at how it went, I phoned after supper and asked "How was the roast?" He said, "Let Eric answer that
one". Eric came on the phone and when I asked how the roast beef was he said "It reminded me of Star Wars". When I questionned him on how roast beef could possibly be like Star Wars he replied, "You know....Chewie, Chewbacka?" It only goes to proove that there IS a logic behind much of what he says.
