Skeleton for A Brother

My nine year old has just recently been diagnosed NLD but looking back he has always been extremely literal and makes us think twice before we use "sayings or expressions". Steve was 3 when his newborn baby brother was brought home from the hospital. The baby had a very sensitive "startle response." After Steve accidentally slammed the toybox lid I said to him, 'Stephen, don't make such loud noises. You made the baby jump out of his skin!" A look of horror crossed his face and he exclaimed, "He shouldn't jump out of his skin! He needs it to keep his bones inside!!"
